Francesco Filia is the co-founder, CEO and CIO of Fasanara Capital, a London-headquartered, FCA-authorised investment manager specialising in fintech-enabled private credit and alternative investment strategies. He founded Fasanara in 2011 with the vision of connecting institutional capital to the real economy through technology-driven investment solutions.

Prior to founding Fasanara, Francesco was a Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he worked within the Principal Investors & Mid-Caps group, and previously held roles at JPMorgan in fixed income, derivatives and quantitative modelling. He brings over two decades of experience across credit, structured finance and capital markets.

Under his leadership, Fasanara has grown into a global platform managing approximately USD 5.5 billion for pension funds, insurance companies and other institutional investors, and has been an early pioneer in fintech-originated trade finance and receivables investing. Francesco remains closely involved in investment strategy, risk management and technology innovation across the firm.
