Kate is an experienced pensions professional and qualified pensions lawyer, with over 15 years in the industry. She is accredited as a Professional Trustee by the Association of Professional Pension Trustees. Kate joined 20-20 Trustees as a Trustee Director in January 2021 and has Trustee and Scheme Secretary appointments on a diverse range of schemes across a variety of sectors.

Kate is particularly interested in the good governance of pension schemes and trustee effectiveness. She is experienced in delivering improvements to scheme governance frameworks, carrying out trustee effectiveness reviews and ensuring that the level of scheme governance is appropriate for the type and size of a particular scheme. Kate is also an active member of the 20-20 Trustees internal Governance Committee and is committed to the continuous improvement of the firm’s internal governance processes and procedures.

Kate understands the many facets of pensions having been a pensions lawyer at Squire Patton Boggs and more recently, an in-house pensions governance manager and Secretary to the Governance Committee of a £1.4bn scheme.
